Situation

buybuy BABY®, an ARDEX National Account, sells infant’s and children’s furniture, car seats, strollers, clothing, toys and other baby essentials. The Fort Worth, TX buybuy BABY® was transforming the existing space that was once a grocery store into the now existing buybuy BABY®.  The store was tested by Advanced Leveling & Concrete Solutions using Wagner RH probes to determine that the moisture levels were above the acceptable threshold of the flooring installer / manufacturer.

Solution

Because time was of the essence, Advanced Leveling & Concrete Solutions realized the importance of mitigating the moisture thus using ARDEX Moisture Control Plus system.  ARDEX MC Plus is a two-coat, 100% solids epoxy moisture management system formulated to suppress excessive moisture vapor emissions in new or existing concrete. With the moisture control system in place Advanced Leveling & Concrete Solutions was ready to prime the space using ARDEX P-82 Ultra Prime before pumping ARDEX K 15® into the space.

Advanced Leveling & Concrete Solutions now focused on the installation of the ARDEX EP 2000™ and the ARDEX SD-T® Self-Drying, Self-Leveling Concrete Topping 3/8” to 2” in depth. Advanced Leveling & Concrete Solutions produced “the flattest floor” that Questmark (BBB’s national polish vendor) has ever polished the entire installation took place over one week. The day after the underlayment was ready, new VCT and vinyl plank flooring. were re-installed and the store was opened.
